Setting:

Time: Next day after Batch 3 arrives, Noon

Niu had just recently arrived in Antar, so he familiarized himself with the surroundings by roughly walking around town. He had received instructions that his room would be the 6th room at the third floor. The next day he planned to visit the library so he can have more time to check out the books available for the trainees.

It was around almost noon he left the dorms and headed towards the library musing himself with his future 'Their library should have some information of what I need. I wonder who I can ask for more information, though. Only one way to find out.' he made his way towards the library. He's thankful he hadn't met any of the other trainees, yet. 'Not really in the mood for introductions' since he was staying at the third floor, it would seem that the chances of meeting others was quite high. 'They must be busy with their own business. Good. However there must be quite a number of men now since I was placed in the third floor. Based on the layout of each floor it has about four rooms. I think only the second and third floors are occupied for now so there should be at most eight male trainees.' sighing he shook his head and continued 'It's like being surrounded all over again. Tsk. Though I don't think they are like that anyway. Since they are in the military... Not so convincing, still.'

He took note of the Main Office and the Infirmary he just passed by. 'If possible, I'd like to avoid these two places. No matter, I might be questioned soon.'

As soon as he neared the library, he examined the outside and entered the building. Taking note of the lady by the desk, he approached her and said "Excuse me my Lady, I am Niu Einri from the Batch 3 of the Training Order. I'd like to ask about where I can get information about demons and other things about the Training Order?"

I don't remember.. Was it in any of the books about magic? General spells? Weapon types? For all I know, it could even have been one of the historical books.. Oh, I should have noted it down when I read it the first time!
While he approached the library, Auris racked his brain again and again in hopes of remembering which book it was. While going through his own written notes and summaries back in the dormitory rooms, he had briefly reviewed some scrabbles regarding the exact comparison between the roots of basic magic types and elemental ones, only to notice he had forgotten to jot down one very important detail -- which attribute belonged to which. His notes being sloppy and all over the place, there was no way for him to figure it out anymore, other than heading back to the library and searching the book that held this piece of information anew.

Walking through the library's doors, he briefly greeted Camille with a "hello" and a friendly smile. At the very least, he had all the time he needed to figure it out again. Back when he was travelling the continent with Roshe and his father, they would always have to gather the information they required within certain time limits: before their travels continued and the merchant brought them to another location. Missed information was truly missed, and most of the time they wouldn't have the opportunity to find it back anytime soon.
But now, that was different.

Auris scanned the library quickly, the first thing catching his eyes being the large group of people standing in the middle of the place. He briefly considered approaching them and joining whatever conversation was going on, but decided he would do that after gathering a few books he thought he'd need, lest someone else should pick them first.
Heading for the Magical Studies section, he only briefly greeted them when he passed the group, and began searching through the shelves -- staying in the background for now.

Niu wanted to roll his eyes but he simply closed his eyes and sighed. He has already read the book about The Enemy so he wanted other information about demons. 'Based on your short stay in Antar? I doubt that.' he smirked under his scarf.

'The generals, huh? I'm not in a hurry maybe in the future. I doubt on what kind of information they would give though. Information isn’t free. I’d have to pile up some achievements to get on their good side.' he sighed as he tried to guess in his head what he should do. ‘This guy did say the Training Order were giving odd jobs to do. Sounds simple but of course it couldn’t be that easy. I hope my body can take this.’ then bent his neck from side to side.

Then someone arrived and gave her own answers. 'Well isn't this nice. A general actually arrived after this girl mentioned asking a general.' He nodded at the direction of General Alexandria. “Greetings, general.” he remained seated as he acknowledged her. ‘I can’t say that it is nice to see the general. And will more people come? I must have really chosen the wrong seat.’ he commented in his head.

"I see. I have already finished reading the book, The Enemy. I just wanted to ask if any of you may have any idea why they suddenly appeared. Other than knowing the enemy, I am curious as to why they are attacking and how the demon gate appeared." he nonchalantly stated.

So they've only arrived just a month before them. But a month should be plenty enough to gather some information. Unless they're too busy with the actual training. Or they just didn't care enough to ask questions. That is foolishness in her honest opinion. One must know every bit of information about the circumstances they've landed themselves in, especially one as deadly as this.

Elerina sighed at the answers she heard.

Unclear. Doubtful.

They won't fight demons until they graduate and yet there is a possibility they will because there are some captive demons around?

That bit of information piqued her interest though.

Demons in Antar. In the cells? Noted. But are they dead or alive? Only one way to find out. Maybe she should pay a visit to the cells.

Elerina nodded to herself, hunger and everything else forgotten with a new goal in mind. She didn't even notice when the gray-haired man took a jab at her frailness, nor did she notice the new arrivals.

As silent as she arrived, Elerina turned away from the group and walked towards the exit, head filled with thoughts of demons.

Elerina exits.

Lucifer looked back to see who interrupted their little group conversation. He grinned happily when he saw the tall figure of his young cousin. They already seen each other this early morning because of the rough incident with one of the new trainees. But looking at her current aura, she is currently in a good or neutral mood.

He stood up in ceremony and greeted her politely. "Good afternoon General Alexandria."

Then he looked at Niu who greeted her but did not stand up in ceremony. He maybe new but at least know the proper Military Etiquette. He thought and glared at the grey haired man. He looked back at Kisara. "Yeah this guy wants to know more information about the demons." He said to her casually. "The book 'The Enemy' is very informative but some how left us some questions. General Amedea's little notes on the book didn't help out much."

After a month in Antar, there's no way Rianne could forget the voices of her superiors. Especially General Kisara, since sometimes she still gives her the chills for some reason. The reason was a memory[1] that was still buried in the back of her mind. In a swift motion, she stood up from her seat, and faced the general before bowing her head in greeting.

"Good day General Alexandria! Nice to see you again."

Raising her head, Rianne smiled seeing that the dark haired general was in a generally good mood. She really doesn't have much to say, since Lucifer already said what she might have wanted to. And didn't even cared how the gray-haired trainee greeted the general, and the blonde one that had silently left. She's had enough with the new trainees' attitude in one day. And Rianne was not in the mood to have her mind troubled by the new peers' actions.

Auris had already gathered a few books from the shelves selectively, trying to recall which ones he had used exactly for his notes. While he was searching, he heard the others talking softly behind him, although he didn't register what the topic of the conversation was. Instead, he was matching the titles in his mind with the respective ones on the covers in front of him -- going down the list to make sure he wasn't forgetting any.

From the magical studies section, he continued towards the history and even science sections of the library, constantly on the lookout for a few titles he was still missing. While he gradually reached the amount of five, then seven, and then even nine books, he was pretty certain he would come off as greedy should someone else have been watching him. Not that it bothered him: quite the opposite. If actively developing knowledge was deemed greedy, he merely considered it a compliment.
Finally deciding he had a big enough stack to begin with, the trainee turned around to go and find a place to sit down. However, his eyes once more were caught by the big group sitting and standing in the middle of the building -- and now that he had finished gathering what he needed, he thought it couldn't hurt to finally get involved.
Leaving his stack of books at the table at the far end of the library, he turned towards them and made his way towards the others.

"Hi guys! Anything interesting going-- Huh?" Auris paused briefly, suddenly noticing a face among the others that he wasn't yet able to recognise. With grey hair that was braided on the left, and a dark scarf covering the lower part of his face, this individual had an air of mystery surrounding him -- one that had quickly piqued Auris' interest.

".. Oh, well hey! Who do we have here?"
The lime-haired recruit flashed a friendly smile at the stranger, reasoning it would probably be one of the trainees from the new batch. So far, this was one of the few he had seen, but he liked seeing new faces. And surely, it couldn't hurt to exchange a few words.

Niu looked at the two who had stood up and greeted the general formally. 'Is this how we should greet them? Fine, I'll follow along.' Since he has already said his greetings, he simply stood and looked at the general. 'How long should we stand? I want to get back to my reading.'

The information about the demons was a bit useful however that is if they are to identify and fight the demons. He wanted to have read about the its history and other miscellaneous information about them.

'Well, what do you expect it has only been three years. Do they even care about it? And it seems they only see demons as an enemy.' he sneered under his scarf. 'I may be one of the few people who does not think too badly of demons.'

Then another person arrived at where they were now standing. He glanced at the green-haired guy who suddenly entered the scene. 'Great another person has arrived. At least that blonde girl has already left. I wonder when they will all leave.' while standing he stared at the books then he said “Can I go back to reading now?”

Kisara showed a small smile when Lucifer and Rianne showed proper courtesy in greeting her. But quickly diminished that smile and gazed at Niu who followed suit but was forced to do it. She nodded at them and gestured for them to sit back down.

“You can sit back everyone.” She said but she didn't miss Niu’s impatient question. Kisara walked closely and stood beside Lucifer at his left. She leaned over the table with her left to hand to support her. A few strands of her hair falling at the sides and her front like midnight waterfalls.

Kisara grab the book titled 'The Enemy' and dragged it closer to her and started to flip a few pages. She snickered as she read the small little notes. “Well you may have went cover to cover in this one.” She said to the silver haired trainee. “I am sure that General Ileana’s little notes here are not much helpful to you.”

She closed the book with a snap and leaned back to stand up in full height. Crossing her arms on her chest and give her usual cold stare to Niu. “But the information you're seeking is not up to your level.” She said and her lips form a small maybe unnoticeable smirk. “It’s a need to know basis if you're not full fledge soldier yet. So if I were you Einri, I should finish my training and start climbing up the ranks.”

With the general’s permission, Niu sat and nodded at the general’s words ‘Is it even possible for me to climb up the ranks? What rank do I need to obtain to get those information? It’s not like they would be willing to let a lowly peasant like me rise up to the ranks, anyway. For now, the only way would be to follow through this Training Order. Gaining military merits may be the only way, that is if I survive.’

“Thank you for the enlightenment, General Alexandria. I shall.” he simply answered. The information he wanted was still out of reach however with the general’s statement it would imply that such information does exist. Asking about it now would just be a waste of time so he took the book about Types of Weapons. Browsing through it as he read about the different types of weapon available in the Training Order.

Just like before, he would have to toil to get what he wanted. ‘Good thing the generals are females. It is a bit reassuring. And I hope I would still be alive, by then.’ Niu reverted back to his quiet state and went back to reading. His thoughts lingering about the Training Order and demons.

Having expected the stranger to introduce himself, Auris wasn't sure what to think of the situation when all the other did was ask if he could go back to reading -- disregarding his question entirely. Moreover, when the general spoke up to him a mere moment later, she seemed to receive a normal reply.
"Er.. Excuse me?" Auris reacted, blinking a few times. Was it possible the other hadn't heard him altogether? Auris was certain he had received a glance just now, so at the very least he'd been seen. That said, it had only been that: a glance. No hey, hello, or anything whatsoever. Had the other truly not seen him, or was he being downright ignored?
Deciding to give the stranger the benefit of the doubt this time, he shrugged it off and tried again.

"Well," He began anew, interrupting Niu's conversation with Kisara as he still insisted on receiving an answer. "Reading is nice and all, but.. I don't believe we've met yet."
While he spoke, he observed the expression of the other closely, to ensure he'd really been heard this time. He didn't want to be pushy, but where was the harm in greeting a new fellow trainee?
Getting to know at least their name is no more than normal, he thought.
